We use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on areas of the site where you are entering personal or payment information. This means that this information is encrypted between your computer and ours, and no one else can decipher it. You can tell that you are in a secure area of web-sales.co.uk because the URL in your browser's Address Bar starts with https://, rather than http://, and there is a small padlock displayed at the bottom of your browser window. Additionally, an independent, trusted third party - in this case GeoTrust - has issued a certificate verifying that the domain name web-sales.co.uk belongs to Aurora Web Services, from whom Grakka Limited license the use of the web-sales.co.uk shopping portal.

When you specify 'Credit Card (Secure Offline) as your chosen method of payment your information is then encrypted using PGP encryption and is finally decrypted at the desktop of the responsible individual within our Accounts Department. Only the public key, required for encryption is stored on the server.

We believe that shopping online with web-sales.co.uk - with the carefully thought out procedures mentioned above - is as safe or safer than using a credit card over the telephone or in a restaurant.

You also have a choice of using either or to process your credit card transaction and in these cases we will not even know the details of your credit card. If there are any discrepancies with your order then this may give rise to additional complications, which is why we prefer the offline credit card method, plus by processing offline, we save about 1.5% of the grand total amount in processing fees.
